Troop's first camp-out.

At our first camp-out, the fathers and sons of this group came together for fellowship and fun, but most of all to glorify God. One of the first things we did, besides pitching up the tents, was to, as individuals, share something about a Biblical or historical person and a manly character trait or traits we can learn from them. We asked that the sons would do this also for the building up of boldness and to teach them to overcome the spirit of fear.

In the course of the two days we had Bible reading and teaching, fellowship, and time to get to know each other better.  For recreation there was fishing, learning how to use and shoot bows and arrows and guns.  We also hiked and climbed trees.

We'll be posting some pictures of the camp-out later.

Welcome!

Hello! This blog is dedicated to keeping you informed of the activities and projects of the ALERT Cadets in the area of Wake Forest and Youngsville, North Carolina.

This group is one of the many ALERT Cadet groups in the U.S., with our mission being:

To assist fathers to win and keep the hearts of their 8 to 17-year-old sons. This goal is achieved, with God’s help, through the quality time which fathers and sons spend together completing exciting projects, memorizing Scripture, and participating in ALERT Cadet sponsored activities.

The team leader of this particular group is J. Tsantles.
